Training cum Distribution Programme of Vegetable Seeds and other inputs under “Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Yojana” (RKVY) for 37-Salghari GPU

Namchi, 20 September: Training cum Distribution Programme of Vegetable Seeds and other inputs under “Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Yojana” (RKVY) for 37-Salghari GPU area, Namchi District was organised by Agriculture Department, Namchi at Salghari GPK, today.
Shri Tshering Tamang, Panchayat President, had graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Present among others were Panchayats of the GPU along with A.D.O, Agriculture Department Shri Arbin Majhi, H.D.O Horticulture Department Smt Kalpana Shestra, and staff members of the concerned department.
At the onset of the program, Shri. Arbin Majhi gave a detailed report on RKVY Scheme. And the technical session was taken up by Smt. Kalpana Shestra.
Furthermore, the Chief Guest Shri. Tshering Tamang highlighted the initiative taken up by the government in the field of agriculture . He added that proper utilisation of seeds will further enhance the growth of agricultural products. He requested everyone to reduce the wastage of seeds, adopt proper utilization of poly pipe and water saving technologies for overall development in the field of agriculture.
During the program, vegetable seeds, bio pesticides and 82 coils of poly pipe was distributed to 82 nos of beneficiaries.
