Union Minister of State for Ministry of Education Ms. Annpurna Devi visited NIT, Ravangla

Namchi,29 April (IPR) : Minister of State for Ministry of Education Ms. Annpurna Devi visted NIT, Ravangla,. Namchi District.
She was accompanied by Area MLA Mr. TT Bhutia, Secretary, Education Department Mr. Anil Raj Rai, DC (Namchi) Mr. Bharani Kumar, SSP (Namchi) Mr. K.L Tenzing, Director (NIT) Prof. Mahesh Chandra Govil and Officers from different line department.
On her arrival she was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Staff and students of NIT.
On the onset of the program, She inaugurated the Academic Building and MPH, Laboratory and Library of National Institute of Technology, Ravangla, Sikkim
During her address, She congratulated the students for getting an opportunity to study in such a beautiful environment of Sikkim where Nature has truly blessed.She also congratulated the Principal and Staff members of the college for providing their students with the best facilities and recent technologies where students can become a true nation builders in their future.
She said that it makes her so proud to see that the College provides ample opportunity for the students to make them technically sound. She further added that due to COVID 19 Pandemic, studies of students were greatly hampered, but inspite of all that she appreciated the faculty members and the students who continued their lessons through online classes.
She highlighted about the various scheme provided by the Prime Minister for the welfare of the students of our country like “Start Up India”, “Make in India” and said that the students should be technical friendly so that they can stand up to the scheme of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.
She further added that the National Education Policy 2020 has been reimplemented so that the students can learn in their mother language/ local language, and that they can study the subject of their choice. This will definitely make students more interested in their studies, Employment can be more sufficient and can make students self- dependent in their future.
She also motivated the students and stated that rather than becoming an employee they should be an entrepreneur who can provide job for others.
She advised the faculty members to take feedback from parents and work accordingly so that it could help the education sector to become more fruitful.
Further she encouraged the Principal, Staff and students to work as dedicatedly as ever to make this institute a great institute all over the country.
